How to identify heat stroke in pets

A dog was left in a hot car that led to a 911 call; the animal was removed from the vehicle but died shortly after. The owner was found at a nearby at a store and was cited for animal cruelty. The outside temperature for SLC yesterday was above 95 degrees so that means inside the car it reached well over 100.
