Well Logs Types
These logs do have their specific functions and uses. The rules below helps in the interpretation of well logs:
A deflection to the left in the SP log shows the presence of a sandstone formation.
A deflection to the right in the SP log shows the presence of a shale formation.
A high reflection in the Resistivity log shows the presence of hydrocarbon in a formation.
