Our Kind of Homesteading

How To Keep Your Critters Cozy in The Winter!

Listen Later

Winter is upon us! (At least it is for us here in Northern Cali) ;)

The temps start dropping, it's pouring rain some days, and maybe even snowing!......Are your critters warm?

To start us off, here's a hint for the Unusual Animal of The Week...

  • Fly's rarely land on these guys (yes, I mean the buzzing, really annoying type) because of their curious pigmentation/coloring. What a hint!!

In today's episode, it's all about warmth!

Who doesn't want to be warm and cozy when it's freezing balls outside!?!?! Your farm animals are no different...their fur (if they have any) only does so much. ;)

We're gonna shock you with what temp a pig needs (if they're below a certain weight)....you'll never guess!

So be sure to listen! Great advise, homestead info and of course plenty of laughs!
