Is it really a girl’s thing? Comparing ourselves with others and finding what’s wrong with us?It can be so easy these days to get stuck on what’s not working vs celebrating what we have already achieved.
Especially when we are using social media as an escape from our reality and we keep scrolling through other pages looking at their amazing bodies, reading about their income, seeing their romantic photos, envying the exotic and luxurious vacations. And I can raise my hand myself that there are still days when I get caught up on what I would love to improve instead of cherishing what I have already built. To get from the comparing game I would love for you to take these three yet powerful steps:
Unfollow anyone who brings your vibe down If you can’t see what's possible and it just brings you down, take a break. It doesn’t mean you don’t love or support them anymore, it just means you take a break to get back into your own alignment.
Set a time that you will be on social mediaInstead of scrolling endlessly and getting down the rabbit hole of feeling discouraged and down, set a time that you will be on social media. Do the scrolling with intention and make sure you are not doing it the first thing in the morning or right before bed. Those times are sacred and belong to you.
Create more than you consume
We came here to be free spirits and creators. By constantly consuming we don’t leave enough space to create and to express ourselves. When you go on social media or into your day, set your intention to create something first, and then you can consume content that feels expansive.
These three steps will liberate you from comparing your own unique journey and start embracing the beautiful unique creator you are.
Ps: I absolutely love and appreciate it when you invest a little bit of your time and write a review on Itunes. Not only does it mean a world to me and I read each and every one of your reviews, it also brings in more visibility to more women who need to hear this message. So please, take 60 seconds of your day and write an honest review. Thank you!
