Types of fear:

3 types large groups of fear:

  1. Rational- real, Imminent threat (life in danger)  based on current factual evidence
  2. Primal - fear that is based on innate survival skills
  3. Irrational Fear - fear that is not logically based, not threat-based and manufactured by your mind.  Consumed with the what-ifs spinning out of control
  4. Less thought of types of people based on fear (irrational)

    1. Procrastinators: need to push past the fear of starting

    2. The Rule Follower: need to practice self-compassion

    3. The People Pleaser: fill your cup so you can better serve others

    4. The Outcast: Don't think about the worst-case scenario but focus on the benefits of the situation

    5. The Self Doubter: Step outside of the comfort zone and then take note of the result

    6. The Excuse Maker: Set small (SMART) goals daily and stick to them

    7. The Pessimist: look at hardships as lessons to learn from instead of roadblocks and keep moving

    8. Fear of Failure

The Bible has 2 types of fear:

    1) Fear of God (healthy respect that is wise and beneficial)

    Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 19:23,Proverbs 14:27,Proverbs 14:26.

    2) Spirit of Fear that Holds us Back:

This is the “spirit of fear” mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (NKJV). A spirit of fearfulness and timidity does not come from God.

Psalm 115:11 tells all who fear the Lord to trust the Lord for he is your helper and your shield.

Psalm 112 reminds us that we don’t have to fear bad news but can confidently trust the Lord to care for them.  They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly

So a healthy respect for the Lord and what he is capable of accompanied by the understanding that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear and he is looking out for us can lead us really far.

    “Let go and Let God”.

Keep giving it to God, keep praying and keep trusting. Pray for Peace beyond understanding. Pray for him to close the doors that are meant to be closed and then trust that he will.

Stay in the word, he gives you what you need when you need it.  It also reminds you of his character and how he has taken care of so many.

Refuse to speak “curses over your life”

Remember the Bible says his power is made perfect in weakness.  Focus on many of the promises in the Bible.

Memorize Scripture - here are 20 pick one

    Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 23:4, Psalm 27:11, Psalm 46:1-3, Psalm 118:6, John 14:27, Deuteronomy 31:6, Deuteronomy 31:8, Isaiah 41:13, Isaiah 43:1, Hebrews 13:6, Deuteronomy 3:22, Luke 12:32, Lamentations 3:57, Psalm 56:3-4, Psalm 18:2, Haggai 2:5, Luke 12;7, Romans 8:28, Phillipians 4:6

We don't really fail unless we stop trying.

Courage and bravery isn't the absence of fear.

"Feel the fear and do it anyway"

Don't let it paralyze you, let it propel you.  Let FOMO (fear of missing out) push you by knowing he has plans to give you such great things.
