How to let go of limiting beliefs

Listen Later

What old stories are you holding on for a dear life?

Yesterday with the full moon we created the whole theme at our Bali retreat about Releasing and letting go of the past.

The first day we sat in a circle and guided each of our participants very throughly with a process of inner child healing and relate to the themselves while forgiving those who hurt them.

So for the second day they were ready to rewrite the old stories they once believed or heard from others.

Letting go creates an immense space to become again the powerful creator you are.

And even though today isn’t a full moon anymore you can still do this 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨.

Take a piece of paper (or write it in your journal) and on one side write down all the old stories that are making you feel small or not serving you anymore.

Once you’re done on each of these limiting beliefs write what’s the truth.

For example:

Old story - I’m not good enough
The truth - I’m resourceful and always find a way to make things work

Once you write your truth rip away the part with your old story.

Burn it and once done take the ashes and either burry them or throw them in a water with your new intention to live your truth.

Feel, think or say out loud these words:

Thank you for showing me the way
Thank you for guiding me up until this point
Thank you for allowing me to discover what I truly want.

I no longer need you

I no longer have a space for you in my life

I love you and I release you now

Allow yourself to release what no longer serves you.

What are some old stories you have been holding on that you’re ready to let go?
