In Matthew 5, Jesus begins his most famous sermon, the Sermon on the Mount. The Sermon on the Mount embodies what it looks like to live the good life according to God's standards. The very foundation of the good life begins with being humble, to be poor in spirit, and to mourn the wickedness that's not only within our world but within each of us as well.
