Spiritual gifts are special abilities given by God, to God's people, for God's service. Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, prophecy, discernment, teaching, serving, exhorting, gifting, leading, compassion -- these are all examples of spiritual gifts. Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians that it is easy to be strayed and misinformed, chasing false idols. To embrace our giftedness, we must avoid ignorance to our spiritual gifts, Sometimes we want to cover up and not use our spiritual gifts by denying them, ignoring them, or reject them. "To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." Every believer is spiritually gifted by God! Let us use our gifts to be a blessing to the body of Christ.
