❗ In today’s world, it’s normal to profiteer on climate disasters and people’s lives. Let’s have a look at the facts.

Over the past 10 years, climate disasters have caused more than $2.8 trillion in damages, and 220 million people have become climate refugees. In the same period, over $5 trillion of taxpayer dollars – the so-called climate finance – were spent on climate change. 94% of that money was spent on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 

Why, despite the enormous sums spent, have CO2 emissions only increased, people continue to suffer and die from climate disasters, while the force and frequency of natural disasters are gaining momentum? Why is only 1% of climate finance spent on warning people in advance about the impending climate disasters?

This isn’t the way it’s supposed to be, and we can change everything. All we have to do is unite and change the format of our society from a consumer-oriented to a creative one.
