The Walt Disney Animation Studio movie Strange World represents generational relationships and also has a gay character. Movies are taking strides to better represent American society and include gay characters with romance that’s central to the story similar to war in an action movie.
Florida Governor Ron “Don’t Say Gay” DeSantis has given parents opposed to LGBT rights a path to censor movies, school, art, books and anything else that might make them uneasy. But, if you take a step back, in the case of a Florida school teacher showing Strange World to students, is the parent’s fight with American education or with the Hollywood MPAA ratings for film?
The Washington Post seems to think that a free option to do your taxes is progress, but does anyone ever look to other countries when considering how to file taxes? Is American exceptionalism getting in our way from realizing that government should be owning this task?
