How to Overcome the Fear of Evangelism | Rediscovering Biblical Femininity
Hey my sister in Christ! In this week's episode, I discuss how to overcome the fear of evangelism, persecution, and rejection. I share some Scriptures that have helped me to overcome my fear of evangelism. This is for the born-again Christians who are feeling called to evangelize(share the good news of Jesus Christ), or who have been persecuted and feel discouraged. This episode is just some encouragement to keep walking and standing firm in the faith and holding fast to the hope held out in the gospel.
Yes, you CAN overcome your fear of evangelism. I repeat! You CAN overcome your fear of evangelism! Why? Because when you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, His perfect love casted out all your fears! Don't you remember? Romans 8:15 tells us, "For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" You are no longer a slave to fear. Do NOT let Satan rob you of your blessings in the Lord.
Also, the reason why Satan wants you to stay quiet and not proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, is because the gospel saves! The gospel saves souls from the eternal lake of fire! Remember, the thief has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus Christ has come to give life and life in abundance!(PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST!
I discuss my experiences in evangelism. How every single day, God is shaping me to be more bold for Him in a faithless society. I also share how we as Christians have a responsibility to share the gospel with the lost. Yes, we will be mocked and persecuted, but we still must proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ until the day we die.
I am still being molded by my Potter, as I am His clay. I share in this episode how it is okay to be on the Potter's wheel. Meaning that it's okay to ask God for help in this area of your Christian walk.
Lastly, when evangelizing we must always remember that our main goal is to SOW SEED! Not to grow seed. We must trust that the Lord will grow the seed and He will make the seed be fruitful. Our job, by His grace, is to sow seed. If you forget that your goal is to sow seed, you might get frustrated when you don't see the fruit. But take heart and trust that the Lord will grow the seed. 1 Cor 3:7 says, "It's not the one who plants or the one who waters who is at the center of this process but God, who makes things grow."(MSG) TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY!
