Bill Potts has survived cancer five times. He has written the book, Up for the Fight, which gives him purpose and the chance to help others. It is the book he wishes someone else had written. In his book, people can learn from Bill’s mistakes and apply what he has learned to improve their cancer journey. Bill’s faith and family are his rock and support. Owning his cancer journey saved his life!
✨A few highlights from the show:
1. Form a relationship with your insurance provider as well as your health care team.
2. Own your journey (from medical, mental health, physical, and emotional perspectives).
3. Make sure you have your legal documents in order and a "just in case" file. This can make your decisions easier for your family to carry out by officially documenting them early in your cancer journey.

🦄About Me:
In 2011, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, out of the blue. I did not have any prior health concerns or issues. Fast forward, the dreaded cancer diagnosis opened my eyes, introduced me to my purpose, and lead me to where I am today.
As a Cancer Doula, I use my 11 years of experience with cancer to support and guide others diagnosed with cancer. Many people are not familiar with what a cancer doula is. Think of me as a personal health care advocate.
