Your Launch Didn’t Flop, Let’s Learn from It!
Have you ever come to the end of a launch and thought “I’m never doing that again!” Either it didn’t make the amount of money you wanted, didn’t book as much as you thought, or just felt just plain miserable? Then it’s time to reflect and see what you can learn!
There are a million reasons a launch can have a different outcome than you expected. I’ve seen people algorithm blame, talk about an over-saturated market and find all the external factors possible. But that really does you a disservice not to examine your launch in hindsight and see what you could do differently next time.
I love working with clients that had less than desirable launches in the past. It gives us great information to start and see where the launch could be improved. It’s much easier to move forward and see all the opportunities you may have missed at the moment to have made it more successful.
The way to reframe your thinking around a failed launch is to really look at the parts that went well. There might have been several great things in your launch and these deserve your attention too. So many people judge the success of a launch just by looking at how it converted. But that’s not the only data that matters. You may have created a bigger audience, warmed up formerly cold potential clients, or gotten positive gains in other ways.
We really want to start thinking about our marketing as not something that is instantaneously going to get results, but something we're testing to see how our audience responds to and what results it can get us. And again, we're going to keep refining, we're going to tweak it and we're going to grow with it.
If you would love to chat with more about refining your launch or go over the results of a past launch. Message me “VIP” on Instagram and I’ll know why you’re popping up in my DMs.
