HOW TO PLEASE GOD
Psalm 43 is a Psalm of David. “Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in Your faithfulness answer me, and in Your righteousness. And enter not into judgment with Your servant: for in your sight will no man living be justified.” (Verses 1 and 2)
Being involved in ministry does NOT make us holy, nor does working with God's Word or being involved with the distribution of God's Word. It does NOT make us more righteous than other people.
“For He (God) has made Him (Messiah Yeshua) to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
“That no flesh should glory in His presence. But you are of Him (Messiah Jesus), who of God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” (1 Corinthians 1:29-30)
Our OBEDIENCE to God's Word and to the leading (or, inner prompting) of His Spirit are what pleases Him.
The Tanakh tells us that the Prophet Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen (is better) than the fat of rams.” (1 Samuel 15:22)
Ministry is a PRIVILEGE as well as a CALLING; but to listen to God and obey Him is a matter of our will: a TEST and an OPPORTUNITY to please God and to PROVE our love for Him at any given moment.
