In today's solo episode of 'The Wellbeing Wanderer Podcast' Kat shares how to positively re-wire your brain. Kat used to be an extremely pessimistic, negative person and she trained herself to become positive long before she started coaching. If you are someone who regularly feels blue and it feels like the world is constantly against you then this episode is for you.

  • Kat's story of her earlier years where she experienced low self esteem, when she felt very negative, pessimistic, kept attracting bad situations and could only ever see the negatives.

  • How looking for the positives in every situation, over time will re-wire your mind and you will effortlessly start seeing and attracting positivity and how this happened for Kat.
  • Kat explains what Neuroplasticity is - it means your brain is capable of being re-wired by means of learning and repetition. More Neurons are fired every time you repeat a behaviour and Neuron's that fire together, wire together which strengthens the synaptic pathways like a rubber band making it easier to remember and perform the learned behaviour.
  • Rewiring your mind to be positive is a process and will take time but taking consistent action, i.e.choosing the positives over the negatives and becoming conscious about what you are doing is proven to work.
  • Daily practices help for example - gratitude, positive affirmations and switching out the negative thoughts for positive ones. These are helpful to do in the morning and evening. 
  • Focusing on a past memory makes your brain think that it is happening right now and your body will have to deal with the feelings and emotions it conjures up, this is why letting the past go is important and visualising a positive your future is powerful, uplifting and a part of manifestation.
