Hi, My name is Chirag(African Chicky). After working and spending 5 years in different regions of Africa, I am on a mission to help African Entrepreneurs become Influential Leaders by promoting Brands and People of all 54 African Countries on the continent by showcasing their Business Skills, Culture, and sharing Success Stories to connect them with Foreign Investors and keep the African Youth inspired. Our Today's Guest is Segun Adegoke, a certified Engineer, entrepreneur and social Impact enthusiast. He is the CEO/M.D of Baay projects, a construction & real estate development firm and founder of Baay agro, an agribusiness firm. He is a Harvard University alternative investment specialist who holds a postgraduate degree in business administration from the prominent University of Lagos and has experience with international work culture, startups, business development, risk management, and human resource management.
His business credentials and acumen show him having successfully built a construction/real estate development firm from $0 to a top real estate development firm in Lagos Nigeria(www.baayprojects.com). Recognised by the Ban ki-moon centre for global citizens and United Nations UNITE 2030 Youth Delegate programme as a changemaker in Africa, he is an advocate for decent employment in Africa, sustainable cities, rural development, food security, climate action and the eradication of poverty.
Adegoke’s passion for Agriculture, rural community development and farmers’ empowerment stems from his background. Growing up in a remote location with his grandmother who is a farmer, He has witnessed the harsh realities of rural farming in Nigeria. He constantly seeks to improve the quality of lives of smallholder farmers. (www.baayagro.com). His work at www.BaayAgro.com is aggregation-centric leveraging smart outlets for smallholder farmers' integration essentially employing and empowering women in the cashew value chain. He also sits as a board member in numerous companies.
