Sif Traustadóttir is a veterinarian, pet behaviourist, and entrepreneur originally from Iceland who now lives in Italy. She opened her own veterinary clinic in 2007 but after taking a sabbatical, she realized she was no longer passionate about her work. Through her online business, she uses her expertise to educate dog owners on canine health, training, and behavior.

 

Sif shares how taking a leave of absence from her job as a veterinarian made her realize she wanted to make a career change and move to another country. She describes what she did to discover who her audience was and what kind of services or products they wanted. She also explains why she doesn’t regret starting her business in her native Icelandic language and how she pivoted to offer products in English.
