For 750 episodes (750!!!) I have been preaching to you about shining.  

“STOP SHRINKING and START SHINING”, I have said over and over again.  

Today, I want to acknowledge there is a cost to the shining if we don’t keep an eye out for our own physical, mental and emotional regulation and restoration. We need to give ourselves time and space to rest and recover after we run all over town shining like a mother.  

What does shining look like to you? Perhaps something like this:

Trying something new that is physically, mentally or emotionally taxing

Stepping into a new level of visibility or exposure in your community or work

Being vulnerable in front of your peers

Having a hard conversation 

Doing something you’re scared of

Showing up for intense work

Holding space for others

When you challenge yourself to show up and SHINE in any of these ways, it’s equally important to show up and REST afterward. Today, we talk through 4 ways you can recover from your extra bright, shiny (and awesome) endeavors, so you can keep going without burning out on shining.
