First episode of 2023! Here to help you review your year (2022) and set easy & achievable goals. Feel free to do this every month or quarter as well.
Outline:
1. Review:
-list out all areas of your life that are important to you for example: Health: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, financial. Personal development, hobbies etc. You can also create micro categories (under physical health you can micro categorize things like diet, exercise, sleep etc)
-rate each area 1-10 (1 being you didn't put in any effort, 10 you gave it your all)
-list out highlights/accomplishments
-list out setbacks/lessons learned
2. Questions for Clarity: (these are also great questions for journal prompts!)
-What would it take to get you to a 10 in each category? What would that look/feel like?
-What have you been avoiding/what scares you the most about each area?
-What distractions are present in your life? What are you allowing to distract you? (don't think about getting rid of these, just identify them & observe)
3. Decide on achievable goals & set intentions:
-Distractions: For each distraction you wrote in section 2, decide how you're going to mitigate or remove (you can also phase out over time)
-Start/Stop/Continue: Write out what goals for what you'd like to start doing, what you'd like to stop doing, and what you want to continue doing that you already do.
-Get specific: "Read more books" is too vague! How many books in what time span? What books?
-Decide what values you're bringing into 2023: list of values here https://jamesclear.com/core-values
-Consistency: decide what frequency is sustainable for you so you can remain consistent with each goal
-Decide which goals are tip toe vs cold plunge
