Life can sometimes be disappointing. None of us is immune to being misunderstood, unappreciated, or wounded by others. What about when it originates under our roof? This can be especially tough. In the Bible, we find a woman undergoing a severe trial, and no one around her understands what she is going through. Yet, instead of becoming embittered, she cried out to the Lord and asked Him to intervene; this is precisely what God did. This morning we’ll consider the life and travails of Hannah, a mother in the Old Testament who saw God make beauty out of the ashes of her life.
