Proverbs 8:15-16

“By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; by me princes govern, and nobles–all who rule on earth.”

Deuteronomy 10:17-18

“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no brides. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving them food and clothing.”

Proverbs 27:23-24

Be sure you know the condition of your flocks,
give careful attention to your herds;
for riches do not endure forever,
and a crown is not secure for all generations.

Proverbs 16:1-3

1 To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the proper answer of the tongue.
2 All a person’s ways seem pure in his own eyes, but the LORD is the one who evaluates motives.
3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 28:2-5

2 When a land transgresses, it has many rulers,
but with a man of understanding and knowledge,
its stability will long continue.
3 A poor man who oppresses the poor
is a beating rain that leaves no food.
4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,
but those who keep the law strive against them.
5 Evil men do not understand justice,
but those who seek the Lord understand it completely.
