Recently, Amazon announced that it would be planning on laying off around 10,000 employees, which would comprise of nearly 3 percent of its corporate workforce and less than 1 percent of its global workforce. Meta recently fired 11,000 employees, around 13 percent of its workforce. CEO Mark Zuckerberg had taken accountability for the layoffs and stated that he “got this wrong”.
Twitter also laid off around 50 percent of its workforce, following Elon Musk’s takeover of the infamous bird app.
