AH, New Years resolutions. Raise your hand if you’ve written out goals for the year only to have them fizzle out by February 21st? Come on don’t be shy now…you’re not alone. On average New Year’s goals last an average of 3 weeks. I know in the past I’ve set goals like “Im going to go to the gym every single day” and I can honestly say that might have lasted a week! SO what’s the difference between those that stick with their goals and those that don’t.Today on the What Nik Knows Podcast we are going to talk though my intentional goal planning 9 step methodology that will help you stay consistent with the goals you want to achieve.An important part of our conversation today is that goal planning pairs with building a new identity and creating habits within that new identity to reach your desired goals.Another reason why goals don’t come to fruition is that we are too focused on the result NOT what the current lessons are or the skillset we are acquiring. We have been trained to be attached to the outcome. Remember that success is NOT a benchmark it is a perspective. So today's EP is a snapshot of my my 9 step methodology to staying consistent and congruent with your New Years resolutions for 2021.
