How to Start a Business Without a Product or Idea

Listen Later

You don't need a revolutionary idea to start a business. You don't need a product. You need to solve a problem someone will pay to have solved, and you can do that with skills you already have.

The value-first approach:

  • Start by identifying problems you can solve with existing capabilities
  • Test market demand before building anything
  • Create value immediately instead of waiting for the perfect product
  • Most successful businesses started not with breakthrough innovations, but with someone solving an obvious problem better than it was being solved before. Your first business doesn't need to be your life's work - it just needs to prove you can create value and get paid for it.
