A Very Informative Guide
Although I am not in the food business I have been exposed to the food industry through family, growing up. Now that I have been looking at various retail types of businesses, I am leaning more towards a franchise QSR type restaurant. Knowing that if run properly, these places can develop into a decent profitable source of income. Not to mention, most of them help you learn about marketing, menu creation and everything else in between. But there are still so many unknown variables, luckily this book answered almost all of my questions and possible concerns. This is a great book for people like myself.

A must read for any aspiring restaurant owners. The author gets into the nuts and bolts of most every aspects of a restaurant operation. If you noticed I said "most" because I would have liked to seen some more real life cost of buying or opening a few more franchise eatery places, but the author made up this lacking when he got into hiring, menu development, legal requirements and business plan. He got into a lot of details which may be very helpful for new restaurant owners.

This is truly a helpful resource for anyone looking into restaurants business. It covers details from fast food to a fine dinner, including its pros and cons. Talks about how to start a restaurant, but what impressed me the most is that the author outlines cost of opening a restaurant and the in depth business plan. The business plan itself should be a book all by itself. As I said , a must-have resource for anyone looking to start, run and grow a restaurant business.

Thorough up to date and very useful book
Although I'm not coming from the States I found majority of the book sections very applicable and useful. It worked for me party as a checklist as well as thought provoking ideas generator.
