Oftentimes we do many nice things for others because we want something in return such as money, love, favor, fame, promotion, etc. There is nothing wrong with pleasing others as long as that’s just who we are. However, if we please others because we attach to an outcome, we often behave “too nice” to others, which in turn causes ourselves to act differently. When you act not according to who we truly are, others often pick up on it and doubt our intentions.
The most effective way to stop being a people pleaser is to have an awareness and to constantly work to improve yourself. When you have an abundant mindset, you don’t need anything from others. Therefore, The better you feel about yourself, the less you feel the need to show off.
