How much do you worry?
Worry is a disruptive force that has a tendency to consume our lives. Even when we know we're worrying, we start to worry about worrying. Then worry about how much we're worrying about not worrying. Can you relate?
It's natural to worry, of course. It keeps us alive! Still, most of us know we could be worrying a little less, and it can be quite challenging to stop this force once it's rolling. In this episode, I share a story about a lavender field I recently visited, and how, when I arrived for a seemingly *magical* experience, the entire landscape was covered in one of my greatest fears: BEES. Worry alert: Triggered.
In a moment where worry threatened to take control, I walk you through how I realized what was happening, coaxed myself out of the stress and worry-filled state, and back into the joy of the present moment.
At the end of the episode, I also share a very simple, somatic and breathwork exercise you can do when worry begins to hijack your joyful experience. Enjoy!
This Thursday thread is pulled from Season 4 Episode 59 featuring Jen's interview with Cheryl Fischer of the OMG Teach Me podcast.
