"Keeper" presents a collection of unsettling and grotesque visuals in pursuit of a cohesive narrative. Much of this dreary "cabin in the woods" horror film consists of a tedious waiting period for the most significant frights to occur. While some of the visual elements are distinctive, they fail to elevate "Keeper" into a truly engaging film due to the inadequately developed story concepts.

Directed by Osgood Perkins and penned by Nick Lepard, "Keeper" had the promise of becoming a chilling mystery featuring intriguing characters. However, the characters are reduced to mere vague outlines with uninspired dialogue. Furthermore, although horror films frequently depend on characters making foolish choices, the protagonist exhibits an extraordinary absence of common sense, which serves only to support the flimsy rationale for why the protagonist finds themselves "trapped" in the woods.
