We recently spent four days styling and shooting a large project on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. It was totally exhausting and exhilarating at the same time – taking a project that took 2 years to complete and styling it up a notch to be photography ready was quite a feat. As interior designers, we professionally photograph our work not only for our portfolio on our website but first and foremost, we photograph our work with the intent of submitting our project to specific magazine editors for regional or national publication.   In the end, preparing, arranging, and investing in a photo shoot is a true labor of love for our work and our business.  When we finished this marathon photo shoot in Kiawah, we decided we need to share all that we’ve learned over the years about what goes into a photo shoot.   KEY TAKEAWAYS:  Find the best photographer you can afford to shoot your work. It is an investment in your business. Do your research first to make sure you are the right fit for each other. For the best result, stylize your interiors and exteriors to be magazine ready. This takes a lot of planning and preparation. Make the best of your photo shoot – be sure to get a fresh headshot, video and vignettes to share on all different platforms.    RESOURCE LINKS: Kandrac & Kole Website Kandrac & Kole on Instagram Kandrac & Kole on YouTube   BIO:  Kandrac & Kole was voted one of Atlanta’s Top 20 Residential Interior Designs by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and has been featured on HGTV as well as in The New York Times, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Home Magazine, and many others as well as participants of the One Room Challenge Spring 2020. Drama becomes intolerable to you and your peace. Becomes your ultimate priority. You start surrounding yourself with people who are good for your mental health, heart, and soul.” - @womanfirstclass
