“In all your ways acknowledge Him [and He will straighten your paths]” (Proverbs 3:6), this is explained in [Midrash] Shocher Tov (Psalm 144), that a person should acknowledge that in his every move he is not the actor at all, but only the Holy One Blessed be He.
