Maya is a first generation immigrant from war torn Bosnia. Maya’s family lost everything in the war and immigrated to the US with two suitcases and $50. Despite all the hardships, Maya earned CPA and had a career as a CFO, auditor, tax accountant, etc.  After learning that financial literacy was not being taught in schools, Maya realized the importance of teaching her kids to be financially literate.  For almost 10 years, her brand Teach Kids Money has helped parents raise financially independent adults through various workshops and her Wealthy Kids Investment Club membership.
