The Everyday Storyteller

How to tell a story with social purpose

Listen Later

If you've never explored Camden in North London, you're missing out. It's a place full of vibrant characters and unique experiences, like the independent store, Clime-it Brothers.
Clime-it Brothers isn't your average store. Instead of asking if they can help you, the shop assistant wants to share how your purchase can make a difference. Intriguing, right?
Clime-it Brothers is a social enterprise with a remarkable mission. It provides jobs and education to young people from challenging backgrounds, helping them escape gangs and drugs. The founder's personal transformation from a drug dealer to a change-maker adds depth to the story. Plus, they use environmentally friendly materials and processes.
My daughter and I bought a jacket and sunglasses, knowing our money was supporting a great cause. I was so moved by their story that I'm sharing it with you. That's the magic of storytelling.
If your business serves a social purpose or champions a cause, share it with your customers. Connect your values to theirs, creating strong emotional bonds. This not only drives sales but also encourages others to support your mission.
