Every new year brings new milestones for everyone whether it's sending the kids off to school for the first time or moving into retirement, people can often think 'where has the time gone' or 'there's so much more to do', which can lead to a mid-life crisis.

Psychologist Dr Marny Lishman told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "We've got the world, literally at our fingertips, and we're getting irritated about that."

"So, I say to people, first and foremost, if you're getting grumpy and irritable about everything and your body's aching and grinding a little bit, listen to that because your body and mind are whispering things to you."Dr Lishman continued.
