Hey today, I'm going to be talking about how to use Reddit to Drive Traffic to your website for free and make money. With Reddit you do have a reputation and this is called Karma. Some people judge you based on your Karma score. 

The higher the score the more authority you could get in their eyes. So one idea is to build up your Karma score first and this can help your reputation. 

How do you build up your karma score? Karma is a reward for posting good stuff. You get Karma when you comments are upvoted and this is comment Karma. 

You also get Karma when your links are upvoted. What is the easiest way to get Karma? Don't re-invent the wheel and love this quote, because we as humans love to overthink things right?

All you have to do is find out what is already working and you do that. You want to replicate successful posts in large and active subreddits. One more thing if you get a bad reputation in Reddit you might want to just start a new account and build it up from scratch instead of trying to fix things. It's almost like a relationship right where if things go south you might just want to go next. Depending on the relationship. 

All you have to do is look for large and active subreddits. Then look for older posts which got a lot of upvotes. Then change the title and repost them. Another idea is to repost viral content on Facebook in your niche. Look at what is already working and use that. 

Now that you have some karma it's time to find subreddits. The cool thing about Reddit is there are 1.2 million subreddits. This means there is a section for everything you can think about. 

You just want to make sure that what you are posting is related to your subreddit, it's targeted It's a good idea to read the rules before you post. Sometimes they want you to build up some comment karma before you post. When it comes to your title you just want it to make people as curious as possible. Curiosity is one of your greatest weapon as marketers. 

How do you find subreddits?  Half of the work is finding the right place to post to. It's almost like surfing when half of the work is just getting to the right spot to surf. 

One of the best tools I like is a Thesaurus. Then starting using different variations of your post into Reddit Subreddits. You can search by name and keyword and both work. 

Here comes the million dollar question and that is what do you post. The thing about Reddit is trying to self-promote your blog or advertise affiliate offers is not a good move. Another tip is to make sure your username is different from the site name. 

Some people recommend being active on a subreddit for a while before posting. You could do this. What I like to do and it's been working for me is to give. Not just self promote my blog or YouTube video but give a gift. 

Yea, an ebook. That ebook should be about the same niche that the subreddit is about. At the end of the ebook link back to your website. What I do is link back to my optin page to grow my email list. 

It's almost like a Trojan Horse, but a good trojan horse. Knock on wood I have not gotten into trouble from doing this yet.
