When you visualize, you focus on something specific — an event, person, or goal you want to achieve — and hold it in your mind, imagining your outcome becoming reality. Visualization is a mindfulness technique on its own, but you can also use it to enhance regular meditation.
Visualization, on its own, involves picturing in your mind the outcome of something before it's happened, whether that's a task or opportunity at hand — such as getting on stage to speak before a large audience — or a sport about to be played.
The brain is a fan of visual stimuli. During the exercise, your amygdala — the tiny structure in the center of the brain responsible for the fight or flight response — has trouble distinguishing between something that is simply being seen during a visualization meditation session and something that is actually happening in real time.
Everything that manifests into physical reality must begin in the mental realm. It's up to you as a creator being to leverage this knowledge and consciously, deliberately visualize, design, and create the life that you prefer.
By using a practice of visualization and imagination, you can also expedite your own healing. Simply welcome the loving energies of your healing team into your body, make your intention known before drifting into the higher realms, and then relax and let them go to work.
