But many of the best nonfiction stories also include active, cinematic scenes that revolve around riveting dialogue. How do journalists and creative nonfiction writers do this while sticking to the truth? We talked to one of the best in the business—New York Times bestselling author, journalist, and historian Kim Cross—who joined Lee Gutkind for this week’s episode of our Open Book live conversation series.
