Despite the censorship and controversy, Tokyo Revengers has been an anime (and now manga) that have taken my world by storm. I am obsessed with the tenacity of Takemichi Hanagaki and the absolute coolness of the Tokyo Manji Gang. This show has a ton that it can teach us as Christians, but we're focusing on a surprising thing it does despite a serious failing of the Bechdel test.
In this nerdy sermon, we're going to take a look at how Tokyo Revengers is doing the important work of dismantling discrimination. It presents us with people that we likely have preconceived notions about - and then it smashes those notions into the dirt.
