We’ve built up to the heist over the last couple episodes, and with “The Eye”, Andor and show creator Tony Gilroy delivered in a huge way on the promise created by the slow burn that got us to this point. No time for whiny Syril Karn in this one. Not much time for Mon Mothma and Luthen Rael. They needed almost all of the screen time in this one to create the mood, the suspense, and finally the big, cinematic Star Wars action we’ve been waiting for.
