Chapter 1:
-In a statement released overnight, LNG Canada confirmed it’s constructing a $40 billion liquified natural gas plant at Kitimat, in northern BC, which will be the largest infrastructure project ever, in this country. The five final investors, including PETRONAS, Shell and Petro China granted their approval to the project late last night.
Chapter 2:
-Yesterday, Donald Trump took a victory lap after securing what he said was a ‘great deal for the USA and the world!’; a newly renegotiated NAFTA. The United States Mexico Canada Agreement gives the US producers greater access to Canadian dairy, while ending so called Class 7 pricing on items north of the border. Also the revamped NAFTA included a surprise element; ending the exclusivity of BC wine on grocery store shelves by November 2019. Did this come as a surprise to the BC wine industry?
