Flip (Philip) Holsinger is an American photojournalist and writer reporting in the immersive style of the Gonzo tradition. He has worked in some of the world’s most volatile regions observing conflict and human peril; including the aftermath of genocide in Bosnia, the war on drugs in southeast Asia, and the plight of fringe peoples such as Nicaragua’s Miskito Indians once at the heart of the Iran-Contra rebel conflict. For three years he called Cite Soleil, Haiti home. His work is primarily displayed in mixed-media, immersive exhibitions, in original works of journalism, and through mostly private contract reporting.
