How Victimhood Interferes with our Godly Manhood

When we focus on our victimhood, we're really just trying to control the situation. And when we try to control, it means we don't trust God to take care of us. We don't believe that He is powerful enough or good enough to help us through whatever situation we're facing.

Victimhood also keeps us from seeing our own role in whatever has happened. We become so focused on how we've been wronged that we can't see our own part in the situation. This not only keeps us from being able to learn and grow from our mistakes, but it also keeps us from offering forgiveness to others.

Ultimately, victimhood hurts our faith because it keeps us from depending on God. And when we don't depend on God, we miss out on His strength, power, and love. So instead of wallowing in victimhood, let's focus on trusting God and depending on Him for help. He is more than capable of meeting our needs and helping us through whatever we're facing.
