How we give matters. Guilt, shame, obligation, greed, fear, self-image; all these can be motivators for giving, but none of them live up to the ideals we as followers of Jesus want to mark our generosity. We want Christlike postures to drive our giving practices. Therefore, as we give our time, treasures and talents to God through and as the church, we seek to give generously, sacrificially and joyfully.
