In today’s episode, I chat with Stephen McGarvey, an internationally-recognized expert in the field of persuasion & influence. Stephen has consulted to corporations globally in a range of industries, working with sales and marketing departments to optimize their performance by understanding how the customer thinks and what unconscious elements/patterns drive their behavior.
Our conversation followed a number of twists & turns, beginning with a discussion regarding influence & persuasion. We then detoured into a fascinating discussion regarding the unconscious mind - a set of processes in the mind which occur automatically and are not available to introspection, including thought processes, memories, interests, and motivations.
