How will Next Generation Combat Systems Improve

Listen Later

What do you all think that the future of combat in gaming is going to be there is so much to combat in gaming, when it comes right down to it. And it can be tough to tell where it's going to go, how far it's going to get, and what the future of gaming will be I've seen combat really improve what goes into Shima. And it seems like the sword plays really something that can be improved upon in the next generation. I'd like to see more games like for honor, which really improved that sort of play that game play that can bring the next generation to fruition. I think Assassin's Creed is one of those franchises that can definitely improve their combat tremendously. If they focus in on it. I think they've kind of been lackluster there. Now they got some really good bows and stuff like that they've kind of gone down the loot road. And they followed in Destiny's kind of shadow there, and they did an excellent job with equipment. And that really helped with the Combat Systems. But I think goes into Shima is a game that really showed how to do combat kind of like Batman Arkham. Knight, when you see that game, from a superhero perspective, they did it all correctly. And that's what's expected of combat. As we can see, there is going to be improvements needed. And that aspect when it comes to video games, but as always, it's an ever evolving thing as systems innovate. And we see new things come along, that will change gaming. It's going to take some time, I think next generation, it could actually go backwards for a little while we've seen that in past generations, or gameplay just kind of gets lackluster. For instance, in sports games, Madden tends to not release all their features that they had on the previous generation when they released a new Madden. they justify it by better graphics, I wonder if we're going to see this trend with better graphics and less gameplay. And that can actually hurt gaming for a little while. And it seems like last for a couple years before they really regain their momentum. Obviously, you're going to have those titles that are going to have that next generation feel that do it right. I think cyberpunk will kind of be that game in the next generation, that's going to lead on to really bringing that next generation aspect into gaming. And that's really what we need, we need a really good launch title, like cyberpunk, it's kind of sad, Halo won't be there. To be honest, the guys because there's so much like that could have been done there. That's just not going to be done. But I think it was the right call to delay Halo infinite. But combat needs to improve tremendously. And some certain aspects, I think they can do something with special effects, I think you're going to see that go down the line. So let's say there's magical powers in a fantasy game, you're going to see those special effects really take root. And especially when you see EA is engine, what they're going to try and do a Dragon Age, those special effects are going to be key, maybe you're gonna be able to grab objects out of the world, and, and use those against your enemies, which will be very helpful. So you're definitely going to see a lot more world environmental effects that have drawn in do the graphical capabilities, the cpcu improvements, the ram improvements, so that video memory will just naturally you're gonna it's just gonna naturally result and a better system overall. And, you know, I think a lot of combat too, is special effects, like, Is there a different effect for different moments in the game, if you don't have a different effect in the comments is very stale. It's like just just one hit. And this is the same move over and over, you have to have like multiple systems in place where it's very fluid, or able to move around, where you have a lot of effects going on. And if you can draw the environment into that, I think that's kind of where next gen is going to go. The more you can draw the environment into that, the better..
