Recently there was a big national repentance event at this nations capitol. Tens of thousands showed up to repent of the grievous sins on behalf of this nation. Men blew shofars, celebrity ministers and worship bands led the rally. When I watched it I sensed nothing. Since then things have gotten exponentially worse. The way things look right now, it is past that time, though it was a sincere attempt. But is this what we are driven to? Organized repentance rallies? There is something that has been lost. It's like trying to patch up a sinking boat while it already halfway under water.

In Iran, China, Afghanistan, South America, and other nations the gospel is powerfully moving, but not here. We think that if we band together last minute, purchase plane tickets to the government capitol, THEN God will hear us. Yet in other countries that are in the underground churches, God is moving in everyone's lives in significant power while living in poverty and heavy persecution. Revealing Himself to them in powerful ways, in dreams and visions. This is happening through a method of sharing the gospel that is nothing this world has EVER seen. My big question is to the Lord Himself. HOW do WE do it here? The "Christian" churches are steeped in seminary studies, and certifications in order to be qualified to preach the gospel. People are ingrained to believe that if the word is not preached by anyone who does not hold a piece of qualifying degrees, then they are unqualified. But that is NOT how the Lord wanted it. Now the entire nation is full of multi- generations of Christians who should have been sharing the gospel with their lives and have not. Way to much has been lost!  The model of the church is one man stands at a podium while everyone listens to a sermon that lasts an hour or more once a week.

This has only caused the body of Christ to be weakened over a long period of time. What is coming upon this nation is going to require a firm footing in solitary, tried faith in the person of Jesus Christ, and not in a last minute repentance rally. I cannot help but look at those nations where Jesus is richly and powerfully pouring out His power, and wonder now what my personal responsibility is and will be like. Because it did something in me, and  now I cannot, and will not go back to the way I saw and did things before. And I think that is exactly what He wants. I am ready to follow Jesus wherever He goes and do whatever He wants like a little child. But I will never return to that failed system of doing things. I declare plainly that I seek a better country, and God has gone to prepare it for me and for you.
