Christians in America have insisted that Scripture has limitless INTERPRETATIONS, but limited APPLICATIONS. In other words, we have embraced RELATIVISM in our exegesis of Scripture, while insisting that Scripture must ONLY be applied to the HOME and the CHURCH. Meanwhile, the rest of society is falling apart. And we justify this degradation of our society with our ESCHATOLOGY. Christians in America continue to champion PREMILLENNIALISM, excusing the church’s responsibility for the downfall of our culture by consoling ourselves with the notion that things are supposed to get worse and worse until Jesus returns. This is nothing more than a recipe for disaster, a SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY.
