On this episode Phillip flies solo, which is what you sometimes need for a World War I movie about aviation. It's a different show this week. Phillip starts off by reading some background about Howard Hughes leading up to the making of Hell's Angels in 1930 which Howard Hughes directed. It is an amazing film, and was a surprising rewatch for Phillip, who liked it a lot more this time around. It is on youtube for free https://youtu.be/GhyNpM5FKNE It is a great quality presentation. Then Phillip finishes up the episode by talking a little bit about 1932's Scarface directed by Howard Hawks, and The Outlaw from 1946 that Howard Hughes directed himself.
Come back next week for the rest of the story... Howard Hughes: Movies and Madness Pt. 2: The Aviator (2004).
