The Howard University football team recently participated in a Hands-Only CPR training by the American Heart Association. They joined the Nation of Lifesavers movement, aiming to double survival rates in cardiac emergencies by 2030. The team also took part in the National Walking Day campaign and will promote CPR awareness week. The importance of early action in a cardiac emergency was emphasized by the Association's CEO, while the team's head coach expressed gratitude for the training. The Association is a member of the Smart Heart Sports Coalition, advocating for evidence-based policies to prevent fatal outcomes from cardiac arrest among high school students.
