Howard Unruh had enough of the whispers behind his back. He served his country in World War 2 and fought bravely to protect our freedoms. Howard came home to people whispering behind his back about his sexuality, and lifestyle. Howard felt as if he was living in a neighborhood filled with enemies and snakes. Howard was backed into an imaginary corner that he made for himself in his mind, and would take action against those he felt pinned him in said corner. With a bowtie and a Luger Howard's anger on Labor Day would ruin many family's for an entire generations, and make people forever look at their neighbors a little differently.
