In episode 111 of How To Matter, I continue the series on helping children with school and learning problems. I also introduce James, the newest How To Matter podcasting associate. For the series, I focus on children for whom trying harder does not lead to improvement or better performance. I also discuss the situation where a child does fine in some areas and subjects but poorly in one or more other areas or courses. I additionally share my experience with a school success program for abused and neglected children. They too can learn.
